BOB STOOPS WINS!!!

Well it looks like everyone wore themselves out voting in the poll the first time, because extending the time limit didn't matter at all. As the "Head Coach" of this blog :) I'm going to cast the final vote, and that makes Bob Stoops the winner!!! That's no insult to the other three guys, excuse me, men on that list though. I tell you I'm getting so excited about the upcoming football season I can almost taste it! Let's hope Coach Stoops can carry the momentum from his win in my poll to a win on the football field! I heard today from a friend of mine that OU has some great players coming in to play football this year, but that's no surprise. After Sam Bradford got hurt last year, I spent three straight days mostly puking in my apartment, and that is the truth. Doesn't look like anything like that will happen again, and I'm ready to watch the games with less beer and more Sooner fans!! We're only about six months away now, and I can almost taste it, and you know what it tastes like? It tastes pretty darn good, but not nearly as good as it's going to be in September! Boomer Sooner Baby GO OU!!!

Let me repeat: whoo! It's been awhile since I've checked in because my internet service has been down, and imagine my surprise to see how close the OU Coach Poll got! A three way tie!!! I guess that just goes to show you how competitive OU fans are, not to mention how hard it is to say who is the best Oklahoma Sooner Coach of all time! I'll have to see if I can extend the poll for a while for a playoff (imagine a playoff in college football :) In the mean time, I'm going to try to keep this blog updated more regularly for you guys who are just itching for basketball season to get over and football season to get here. Did anyone see the Sooners get beat by the Oklahoma State Suck-Boys (j/k) last night? Let's see them put some pads on and do that! Boomer Sooner!

It Just Keeps Getting Better!

Just like I thought, Coach Bob Stoops is leading the Sooner Best Head Coach poll, but there's still two days left to vote! I'm expecting Barry Switzer to make a late push, but I think Bonnie Owen may be before your "time." It's sad to see tradition fade away like that, but think of it this way: we're building the new tradition right now, and that tradition's gonna kick your butts! (j/k!) If you're like me, you're getting so excited about the upcoming football season that you can hardly breathe. What is it February now? Almost March, then April. After that, May. Then June, July, August, and you know what that means? Boomer Sooner Baby!! I've got to find a schedule to see who the first game is against, not that it matters. Coach Stoops hasn't lost a first game of the season in a decade at least, I'll bet, and this year is not going to be an exception to THAT rule. Who's the quarterback? Doesn't matter. Like Coach says, just win baby! (I found this picture online yesterday. The girl's shirt is cracking me up!)

Six months until August!

Well folks, I didn't think about it before, but the hardest thing about starting a OU football blog in February is waiting 6 months to have some football to talk about! That's OK though, because I've added a new poll: I want to know who YOU think is the best head coach at Oklahoma. I haven't voted yet, but boy is it a tough choice! We can also talk about recruiting classes soon, once all the high school kids have graduated and decided what schools they'll be going to play football for. I'm also going to start looking for some good photos of OU football players and coaches to add so this page will be even more interactive. So even in the offseason, college football keeps going!
